AUTHOR JACK NISBET presents: The Longest Journey
Due to unforeseen circumstances this program will be rescheduled at a later date. Naturalist Jack Nisbet will present his latest book, Ancient Places: People and Landscape in the Emerging Northwest. In the fall of 1902, a Welch farmer happened upon one odd rock perched on a slope above the Willamette River. It turned out to be a meteorite, and the slow unfolding of its story revealed links to Northwest mining, museum politics, Ice Age floods, human nature, and the deep history of the universe.
Mondays at 10:00am. An hour of stories, songs, rhymes and fun with crafts afterward. Parents and caregivers are invited to share this Growing Time with their children to make it even more special and fun.
Knitters and crocheters of all ages and skill levels meet on the last Wednesday of each month at 10:00am to teach each other new skills and view an assortment of books available through the Library.
