On Thursday, December 3 at 6:00pm, naturalist Jack Nisbet will be presenting his latest book, Ancient Places: People and Landscape in the Emerging Northwest. Republic's Stonerose Fossil Center might never have been created without the efforts of amateur paleobotanist Wes Wehr. But fossil wonders were only a part of Wehr's busy and eccentric life. Hear the story of his many pursuits in the words of friends, mentors, and students.
