"Meet Your Neighborhood Mammals" STORY TIME with Susan Ballinger
On Tuesday, August 30 at 1:30 pm Susan Ballinger from the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust will present "Meet Your Neighborhood Mammals" Story Time. There will be stories, songs, craft and fun!  And It's FREE!

BAVARIAN BOOK GROUP (NEW!)
First meeting is on Thursday, September 8 from 4:30-5:30pm. Our first book, Breakfast With Buddha by Roland Merullo, will be available for check-out the afternoon of the meeting. At this meeting we will choose a time to meet and have a chance to choose books to read in the coming months. We hope that if you are not already in a book group, you will join us to meet new people and enjoy new reading opportunities. Anyone is welcome to join, but we will limit it to 10 people.

HUMANITIES WASHINGTON: "The Triple Nickle: Black Paratroopers in Washington State during WWII"
Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30pm at the Leavenworth Public Library. Join Robert L. Bartlett in a conversation about the seldom told story of the first all-black "Airborne Infantry Firefighters." Mr. Bartlett is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Justice Studies of Eastern Washington University.
