Winter reading challenge

During the slower-paced months of winter, many of our library branches will be offering a fun, low-key winter reading challenge to keep kids reading and visiting their local library.

Everyone who signs up will get a bookmark and a challenge page. The challenge page includes 10 sets of "Would You Rather" questions that will prompt you to complete a challenge. Complete the challenges to receive a prize!

"We want to provide engaging opportunities for kids over the winter break and the winter months," said Abby Osborn, children's services manager for North Central Regional Library. "For many kids, there's not a lot of things to do outside when it's cold and snowy."

Libraries participating in the winter program this year are: Brewster, Cashmere, Chelan, Coulee City, East Wenatchee, Entiat, Ephrata, Grand Coulee, Manson, Moses Lake, Okanogan, Omak, Oroville, Pateros, Peshastin, Quincy, Republic, Royal City, Twisp, Waterville, Wenatchee, and Winthrop.
