State Climatologist To Talk About Threats To Salmon
Washington State Climatologist Nick Bond will talk about the impacts that warming oceans and environmental degradation have on dwindling Northwest salmon
populations at several of our libraries in February.
In his talk Are Salmon Doomed? Hatching a Plan to Save a Northwest Icon, Bond will explore the past, present and possible future conditions for salmon. He will share lessons on how local communities have accomplished important work to support salmon runs, but also take a hard look at the realities of climate change.
Bond will speak at the following libraries:
- Oroville: 6 p.m. Feb. 25
- Grand Coulee: 3 p.m. Feb. 26
- Omak, 6 p.m. Feb. 26
