What's Happening @ the Library: Oct. 28-Nov. 2

 

This week, our libraries and outreach specialists will offer up a dose of Halloween fun as well as a variety of crafts, technology, and more!

Trick-or-Treat

Several of our libraries will participate in community trick-or-treating this week. In addition, our Community Bookmobile will be set up on Wenatchee Avenue handing out candy for Wenatchee's Trick or Treat the Ave.

Adult STEM Night

Our STEM series just for adults continues this week!

  • Quincy: Play with a variety of robots, 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jack's Restaurant, Quincy Public Market
  • Wenatchee: Make beer coasters with a laser cutter, 6 p.m. Wednesday

Children/Family

  • Brewster: STEM with Ash, 2 p.m. Tuesday; watch a movie at the library, 3 p.m. Wednesday
  • Bridgeport: Halloween craft, 11 a.m. Thursday; Diá de los Muertos crafts, 1:30 p.m. Saturday
  • Cashmere: Halloween and Day of the Dead story time, 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Chelan: STEM Club, 3 p.m. Tuesday
  • George: Diá de los Muertos activities, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
  • Grand Coulee: STEM activities, 4 p.m. Wednesday
  • Leavenworth: STEM Club, 3:30 p.m. Monday; Perri the Poetry Fairy, 11:30 p.m. Wednesday
  • Moses Lake: Lego Building Club, 4 p.m. Friday
  • Omak: Early literacy fair with games, stories, songs and a children's CD giveaway — costumes welcome, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday; book bingo, 2 p.m. Saturday
  • Oroville: Ukulele get-together, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday
  • Peshastin: Bilingual story time with the Peshastin Head Start class, 2:15 p.m. Tuesday; family movie at the library, 2 p.m. Saturday
  • Quincy: Build simple-powered Lego machines, 3:30 p.m. Wednesday; Keva planks and mazes, 3:30 p.m. Friday
  • Waterville: Clay with Dale, 1 p.m. Friday
  • Wenatchee: All ages knitting, 4 p.m. Monday; our bilingual outreach specialists will be at the Diá de los Muertos celebrations at Wenatchee Valley College, 6-8 p.m. Friday and at Methow Park from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday         

Just for Teens

  • Oroville: Crafternoon for adults and teens, 1:30 p.m. Saturday
  • Wenatchee: National Novel Writing Month kick-off party, 4:30 p.m. Friday

Adults

  • Bridgeport: Adult coloring, 9 a.m. Saturday
  • Chelan: Lake Chelan Ukulele Circle, 1 p.m. Thursday
  • Curlew: Knitting group, 1 p.m. Thursday
  • Moses Lake: Learn astrology with Tommie, 6 p.m. Monday; Adult sit and stitch, 4 p.m. Wednesday
  • Oroville: Adult coloring, 1 p.m. Tuesday; crafternoon for adults and teens, 1:30 p.m. Saturday
  • Quincy: Scrabble Club, 10 a.m. Monday
  • Republic: Adult arts and crafts, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday
