This Week @ the Library

We're just a week away from the start of the Christmas break from school, and our libraries are filling their calendars with lots of fun activities. Here is a roundup of some of the great programs. Check out the full online calendar for everything going on at your local branch.


Many of our libraries host At The Library After School programs. Here are the ones scheduled for this week:

  • Curlew: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Entiat: 4 p.m. Wednesday.
  • George: 5 p.m. Thursday.
  • Manson: 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Omak: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Quincy: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Royal City: 4 p.m. Monday (STEM program).
  • Wenatchee: 4 p.m. Thursday.


We are in the process of expanding our Science, Technology, Engineering & Math programs at our branch library, so most of our locations now offer occasional and regular STEM programs. Here's what is going on this week:

  • Cashmere: Ozobot races, 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; homeschool STEM, 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Curlew: STEM, 2 p.m. Friday.
  • Ephrata: Lego club, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. 
  • Leavenworth: STEM Club, 4 p.m. Monday.
  • Quincy: Lego machines, 3:30 p.m. Monday; Minecraft Club, 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (sign up in advance).
  • Oroville: Makerspace, 3:30 p.m. Wednesday; Eggbot holiday ornament making for adults, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Republic: makerspace, 3 p.m. Monday.
  • Royal City: STEM activities, 4 p.m. Monday.
  • Tonasket: Makerspace, 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Twisp: Ziplines, 3:45 p.m. Thursday; Legos, 12 p.m. Saturday.
  • Wenatchee: 3D printing, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday.

  • Curlew: Knitting group, 1 p.m. Thursday.
  • Manson: Tile art, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
  • Moses Lake: Sign up for winter reading program, all week; coloring contest, all week; Income Tax preparation, 4 p.m. Monday.
  • Waterville: Holiday crafting with paper and Zentange, 5 p.m. Tuesday; holiday ornament making, 4 p.m Thursday.
  • Wenatchee: Family-friendly board games, 3 p.m. Friday; showing of the movie The Santa Clause, 3:30 p.m. Friday.
