North Central Regional Libraries (NCRL) is requesting statement of qualifications (RSQ) from firms interested in providing architectural services and owner representation for a three-year period. NCRL is contemplating building projects throughout north central Washington over the next several years. The first project will be administering the construction contract for the Wenatchee Public Library Modernization in Wenatchee, Washington.
Architectural services will not be exclusive to the selected architectural firm; the Library reserves the right to select other firms for specific projects. Services rendered by the architect will include but not be limited to the following:
- Project schematic drawings
- Project development/options analysis
- Project engineering and budget control
- Building permit documents and applications
- Participation in environmental issues
- Construction administration
- Construction inspections
- Project close-outs, record drawings
- Space planning
- Services, as required, during a two-year period, from October 1, 2019 to November 30, 2021, with an optional one-year extension.
A more detailed scope of services, along with fees, will be negotiated with the selected firm. Construction management services, including on-site inspection, are an important element of the scope of services. The firm may be required to be available for project-related on-site work on relatively short notice. The Library will not pay for travel expenses for travel to and from Chelan County.
One firm will be selected to negotiate a professional services agreement based on experience; previous performance; proximity; and expressed interest.
